1. Who we are

The Healing Wellness Show is a health and wellness podcast hosted by Dr. Mohamed Karim, DC, and sponsored by Iowa Wellness Center at 1395 Jordan St Unit C, North Liberty, IA 52317. This policy covers thehealingwellnessshow.com and the enquiry forms on it.

Iowa Wellness Center runs its own website and keeps its own patient records under its own policies. Once you become a patient there, the clinic's own privacy practices govern your medical record, not this page.

2. Information you give us

• Your name, phone number and email address when you request a free consultation.
• The treatment or topic you pick from the enquiry form.
• Anything you choose to write in a message field, or send us by email.

Please keep detailed medical information out of web forms and email. Neither is a secure channel. Tell us the general area you would like help with and we will cover the specifics on the phone or in person, where it belongs.

3. Information collected automatically

• Standard server logs kept by our web host, including IP address, browser type and which pages were requested.
• Cookies set by WordPress and by the plugins that run the site. These keep the site working, remember form progress and help us see which pages get read.
• Aggregate traffic and search data, which tells us how many people read a page but not who those people are.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, though some embedded features may not load.

4. Third party services on this site

Parts of this site are supplied by other companies. Using those parts means some data passes to them under their own privacy policies:

• LeadConnector. Routes enquiries and follow up messaging so the clinic can call you back.
• YouTube. Episodes and patient videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which holds off on tracking until you press play.
• Google Maps. The maps on our location and contact pages load from Google.
• Spotify and other podcast platforms. If you follow a link to listen, that platform collects its own data on its own terms.
• Our web host. Processes traffic in order to serve and protect the site.

5. How we use your information

• To call or email you back about the consultation you asked for.
• To pass your request to the right person at Iowa Wellness Center.
• To answer questions about the podcast or the treatments we cover.
• To keep the site secure and working, and to improve what we publish.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. We do not use what you send us to build advertising profiles.

6. When we share information

We share your details with Iowa Wellness Center so they can contact you, and with the service providers listed above only to the extent they need it to run the site. Beyond that, we disclose information only where the law requires it or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.

7. A note about HIPAA

This website is a marketing and education site, not a patient portal. What you send through this site is not protected health information under HIPAA until it becomes part of a clinical record at Iowa Wellness Center. If your question concerns existing treatment, test results or records, please call the clinic directly rather than using the form here.

8. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as it takes to answer them and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you get back in touch. Server logs turn over on a much shorter cycle. If you ask us to delete your enquiry we will do so, subject to any record we are separately required by law to keep.

9. Your choices

• Ask what we hold about you, and ask for a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete your enquiry.
• Tell us to stop contacting you, at any point and for any reason.

10. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, which is the honest reason we keep asking you to use the phone for anything sensitive.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles information, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Anything material will be stated plainly rather than buried in a clause.
